Freedom (Poultry Farms)

Caged since birth,
he yearned for the outer world.
.
Then came freedom,
and he lived his moment.
flapping his wings,
he felt the air,
swirling, thrusting,
playing with his wings.
Thrust was there, so divine,
his feet felt less and less land,
for a moment he flew,
he was all air,
all wind, So not him
what he was a moment before
.
He knew the truth,
the death was certain,
but he was so happy,
ready to face the chopper,
flapping his wings in contentment,
Death was to smaller a price,
For the momentary freedom,
for the joy of flight,
and he welcomed it,
like an old friend, long unmet.
